Maranatha means "Come, Lord Jesus." It was a greeting that the early church would use to encourage one another in the reality that Jesus Christ is returning in glory!
We have worked it into our language & made it the cry of our hearts the past few years because Jesus is indeed returning, & it is our blessed hope. It's the JOY set before us -- seeing Jesus face to face & finally being in His arms. It's the TADA of Christianity: His glorious coming! We live in expectation for that day & allow that reality to purify our hearts & motives in this life.
